FIRST MEETING - 3 PILLARS OF USRAH

In the first meeting of Usrah Budi 1, CCUB 1621, we have discussed about the 3 pillars of usrah, which are;

TAARUF

Taaruf is merely the first pillar, which is introducing oneself to the rest of the usrah/halaqah. The importance of introduction is that so everyone in the group knows each other well, at least through the basic information such as name, and background of every group member. In fact, everything needs to have an introduction before they can be understood better.

TAFAHUM

Tafahum is the next pillar, which means to understand. By understanding means to observe, listen and understand the background and situation of group members. By having an understanding about someone, we can know how to approach that person in a manner that will be comfortable for the person. Moreover, this concept can eliminate tendencies of us being judgemental towards people.

TAKAFUL

The last pillar of usrah after taaruf and tafahum is takaful, which means to complete each other. This means that after everyone has known and understood each other well in the group, they can help each other and complete each other in ways they can afford to, creating a bond stronger and stronger as days progress, thus the goal of the usrah/halaqah is achieved!
